What is IATA IBCS?
IBCS (IATA BSP Consolidator System) has been developed by IATA Financial Distribution Services (IDFS), the IATA division responsible for managing and operating the 68 Billing and Settlement Plans (BSPs), around the world, and Air Promotion Group (APG) a French firm engaged in aviation distribution. The two organisations closely collaborated in the design of the IBCS program, constructing for airlines a desirable “variable cost” methodology for joining the IATA Billing and settlement Plans. Who can take part in the IBCS program? IBCS is open to all airlines operating scheduled services, on the same terms, whether or not they are members of IATA, provided they are not already BSP participants in the country concerned. How does IBCS program work?
