What degree opportunities are available through the HSC-College of Nursing?
The HSC-College of Nursing in Bryan-College Station offers the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) degree. The program offers three different “tracks” for the baccalaureate degree. The standard generic B.S.N. requires approximately two years of prerequisite courses (which may be completed at any accredited college or university) and two years of nursing curricula (to be completed through the HSC-College of Nursing). A second accelerated or “fast-track” program is available for qualified applicants who already hold a bachelor’s degree. These applicants are expected to complete 25 semester credit hours of prerequisite course work as well as any TAMHSC Core Curriculum coursework that was not met in the previous degree plan. Upon acceptance into the program, students will complete the nursing curriculum and required clinical experiences in 18 months.
