Of the Graduate School’s 1,700 students: • 98% are full-time students • 80% are pursuing a doctorate • 36% are international students • 11% identify themselves as minority Students may pursue graduate degrees in 30 fields at the University of Notre Dame; over half of these are within Arts and Letters disciplines. Approximately 800 graduate and professional degrees are awarded annually. Notre Dame’s advancement as a research institution is reflected in the growth of its graduate programs. From 1995 to 2005 our graduate school enrollment grew by 31%, while our undergraduate enrollment grew by only 5%.
