What is the Vee Jay recording company?
• Vee Jay records was the US company that released the “Introducing the Beatles” album before Capitol picked up the Beatles. Later in an effort to get more record sales they packaged a Four Seasons album and “Introducing the Beatles” in a double album cover and called it “The Beatles vs. the Four Seasons”. Most (or all?) of the “Introducing the Beatles” songs were then released by Capitol much later on the album “The Early Beatles” which has the photograph used on the “Nowhere Man” 45.
