Where did the Ebola virus originate?
The Virus, like the marburg virus, is what virologists called ‘new viruses’ this means that they probably originated millions of years ago only able to infect smaller organisms such as bacteria and insects at a later stage. the virus then mutated over time able to infect more complex lifeforms. It is still unknown, however where the modern strain of ebola-zaire and ebola-reston came from.
