What is romanticism all about?
It’s not a thick question at all! I only studied Romanticism as part of art history, but basically, it was a literary, artistic and intellectual movement that originated in the latter half of the 18th century. Generally, it was a revolt against the clinical, cold ideals that some felt came with the industrial revolution. It was really all about emotions, such as patriotism, love, passion, terror and triumph etc.
