How does the IntelliGolf Eagle edition work in GPS Simulator Mode and in GPS Live Mode?
There are basically two (2) GPS modes in the IntelliGolf Eagle, Eagle OTA, and Eagle GPS option software: GPS Simulator Mode and GPS Live Mode. GPS Simulator Mode is for customers that have not (yet) invested in an IntelliGolf Certified GPS Receiver. In this mode, the IntelliGPS screens will provide you with “approximate” distances from the “tee box” to the center of the green and to various key target locations in the fairway. These include to the 200, 150, 100 yard/meter markers. As such, customers that do not own a compatible GPS receiver will still be able to view approximate distances from “tee to green” and “tee to fairway markers”. This assists in club selection from the tee box. For example, it is not always wise to hit your Driver on every Par 4 hole (e.g. 377 yard hole). IntelliGolf’s Simulator Mode will visually present you with approximate distances to the 200, 150, and 100 yard markers (and to the green) from the tee box.
