What is FYE 101?
• A one-credit success course taught during the first college year • Co-taught by a CMU faculty member and undergraduate peer mentor • Small classes, with no more than 25 students, so you really get to know your classmates, professor and mentor! Why should I take FYE 101? • You’ll learn skills and explore resources and ideas you will use throughout your college career and life. • The class is ACTIVE – classes are activity and discussion-based and unlike any other course you will take your first year. • FYE focuses on engaging your mind in new and innovative ways. • Students who take FYE are more likely to be successful academically and socially.
