What will FEMA reimburse?
FEMA will reimburse Linn County for 90% of the cost of returning buildings to their original status. The State of Iowa is paying the remaining 10% of the cost. Options of Linn County is the exception to this rule. FEMA will cover total costs of replacing this building because of the extent of its damage (minus $500,000 for a National Flood Insurance Program deduction). I thought FEMA would only pay for temporary space for a year. Wont that put all three organizations into a tight timeframe in their current temporary spaces?
