Why did Jesus speak in parables?
So that his followers in the future could interpret his words to their liking – may it be for War or Peace or pro-life or whatever. At the Gospel of Reason, I hold that Jesus was a good guy with a good message. I honestly like to think there is historical evidence for his existence, and being a clear thinker, his message must have been modern, enlightened and good. It is in the Apostles that I imagine much of the blame of Jesus’ convoluted sayings can be placed, the people who would in the future need to draw upon a set of swirly sayings to justify everything.
