Paddy Power has been loudly trumpeting in its adverts about a £1.25m loss it has taken from paying out early on Tiger Woods to win the US PGA title only for him to lose to a rank outsider. It’s a fascinating claim given that its rivals put their own losses had Tiger actually won at something less than £100,000.
