Why can pot be Legal ?
There are probably as many reasons pot should remain illegal as there are for it be legalized. I smoked pot in my 20s and 30s from time to time but I can’t say I have ever put much energy into wishing and hoping it would be legalized. If it had been legal then I just would have used it more often. Sure, being high was a lot of fun but I couldn’t then and I can’t now see much good in being high more than I was then. Of all the the issues our law makers should be concerned about, legalizing pot is probably pretty low on my concerns. As I write this, a war for oil is being fought and 4000+ soldiers have died while thousands of others have become permanently disabled; our nation is in debt into the trillions; an increasing number of working Americans are losing their homes and living in their cars,; many young people (probably your age) can’t figure out how to pay for college or where to get a job that will pay their bills; food prices are soaring, and while our economy is tanking, Congres
