I want to import Sales data from MS-Excel into Tally. Do I need to manually create MASTERs for StockItems and Parties ?
No. XML tags are provided such that UDI-Magic first checks for MASTER’s in Tally. If the MASTER already exists, nothing is done. If the MASTER does not exist, then it is created. After creating all required MASTER’s, UDI-Magic posts Vouchers into Tally. In brief, if you take up a sample Excel sheet format “Vouchers – Sales transactions with StockItems” and import it, you will notice that UDI-Magic creates several masters (like Ledger masters, Stock Items etc) and then the Vouchers are imported. If you import data into an existing Company and some masters already exist, then UDIMagic skips those masters and creates the Masters only which are required. Next, voucher posting is done.
