Does Goldenseal grow in Russia?

Prevention.com: “Goldenseal is native to eastern North America and is cultivated in Oregon and Washington” It is also on the CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora) list of endangered flora & fauna. The exporting of Goldenseal does not appear to have included Russia but this book http://books.google.com/books?id=ndk42wx… says “One account notes that goldenseal extract was used in some Russian hospitals” so it’s definitely possible
