Small pox has not been eradicated!Check your history and facts!!! the World Health Organization thought it would be beneficial to not eradicate small pox due to the possibility of an out brake.There are 2 known samples in existence today.USA posses one and modern day Russia possesses the other.Why??? Small pox was considered eradicated and immunizations ceased in the late 60’s and early 70’s but the fact of the matter is that small pox is consider to important not to destroy for 3 reasons. 1. If the virus is destroyed then we would not have a base to launch an quick and effective vaccine response. 2.
