What are monerans?
Monerans are single-celled organisms that have no nucleus or organelles, which are large-scale structures that have a particular set of functions in a cell. There are two types of monerans; bacteria, which consume food and cyanobacteria, which make their own food through photosynthesis. Monerans have the same life process as an animal cell; for example, growth and the breaking down of food. However, unlike human cells, monerans do not have one specifc job. They survive on their own, do not work together, but can sometimes be found in groups.
