Is tuberculosis dangerous?

0

I just had a positive TB test. OK, this is what the infectious disease doctor told me. I was exposed and now the germ lies dormant in my lungs. It can become active at anytime or never. He is making me take 6 months worth of INH treatment (pills) to kill it. I am a diabetic, have arthritis and take prednisone which all affect my immune system. He said that I had a better than normal chance of developing TB. So, therefore, I take the medicine. Now, see it really isn’t a big deal unless it becomes active and not treated. Then it can become dangerous.
