Who is behind the Asian University for Women?
The idea for the AUW originated with Kamal Ahmad, who is the Vice Chairman of the AUW Support Foundation and a member of the Board of Directors. Originally from Bangladesh, Mr. Ahmad, a lawyer, has worked for the World Bank, the Rockefeller Foundation and UNICEF, and has been in private practice in London and New York.
