AKC rules, policies and positions are voted on by our delegate body. Membership of the AKC is comprised of independent dog clubs located throughout the United States. There are approximately 500 member clubs with voting privileges. Each of these clubs sends a delegate to our quarterly meetings and rules are voted on by the delegates.
