Does anyone own a Dogo Argentino?
They’re lovely dogs.. WITH THE RIGHT OWNER. I cannot stress enough that the Dogo Argentino is *not* right for everyone. In fact, it’s the right dog for very few people. You must be unwaveringly, relentlessly decisive, firm, consistent and confident. You must be the powerful leader. You must be benevolent, of course. The Dogo WILL challenge you, so if you have even the *slightest* meekness about you, this is not the right dog for you. You must be experienced with powerful dogs. It’s good that you’ll be raising that Pit Bull puppy you have, as that will give you a taste of powerful dogs.. But note that I said *taste.* Dogos are MUCH “sharper” than Pits, if you know what I mean. While some communities choose to ban the Pit Bull, the Dogo Argentino (along with the Tosa and Fila Brasileiro) is banned pretty much everywhere. (Dogos are also much larger and stronger than Pits, so how physically capable are you? Most APBTs are no more than 50 pounds while most Staffordshire Bull Terriers are n
