How do local bowling leagues work?
Typically, teams can range anywhere from one (in a singles league) to five people. You can join with a full team already put together, or alone and let the league put you in with a team. USBC-sanctioned leagues will have you pay a sanction fee of about $20 to begin the season. Each week, you will pay a certain amount for the league. This amount covers the actual bowling, as well as the prize fund if any. Then, you bowl.
