What is a false prophet??
A false prophet is one who claims to be speaking God’s truth but then teaches hate and exclusion. Of course you’re right. Freud and Hugh Hefner never claimed to be speaking for God, so whoever said that probably heard that phrase from a semi-literate preacher at their church and adopted it without thinking about it. On the other hand, for example, people who claim to be Christians, who feel the need to tell others they are going to hell for not agreeing with their personal opinions about God and salvation are false prophets: Jesus said not to judge, so if people are judging who is and isn’t going to hell in God’s name, they are false.
