What do think of ABS-CBN?
I cannot make an unbiased assessment because I have only ABS-CBN shows through TFC (The Filipino Channel). Some of my brotherhood in Riyadh have GMA through satellite dish, though. Monopolies, or restraints in trade through business combinations, have always characterized the Lopez control on the media, and the public utilities. It is in character that what is shown on their broadcasts should be designed to make of the masses a subservient creature, as were the plebeians kept entertained by the Colosseum spectacles in ancient Rome. Their only saving grace is Gina Lopez and the efforts to help street children, as well as clean up the Pasig River.
