What fingers for moonlight sonata mvt. 1?

I’m sure that fingering is fine for the opening. I would use fingers 1 2 and 3 (thumb, pointer finger, middle finger) when the melody begins. This leaves your 5th finger (pinky) open to play the melody that starts on G#. Chances are, if you choose a fingering pattern that is logical and comfortable for you, there is nothing wrong with it. Go to www.imslp.org and download the moonlight sonata that is there as well. They may have editions with fingerings in them. Good luck!
