Is queer as folk age appropriate for a?
Most 17 year old people should be mature enough to watch Queer as Folk. He certainly won’t be exposed to anything he won’t know about already. There is the occasional bit of nudity and a ton of sexual situations, but he’s less than a year from being a legal adult. I think he can handle it. That being said, it is a show created mostly for entertainment’s sake. I wouldn’t expect much educational value, if that’s what you’re going for. If your husband wants to watch it with him, he had better be comfortable watching scenes of a sexual nature around his son. It would also help if he wasn’t squeamish about lesbian and gay sensuality. An open mind is a laudable thing, but it would be totally understandable if he didn’t care to watch that.
