Yes the clutch will run cooler, but for safety reasons the owner’s manual suggests that the cover be used. Running the MDC clutch without the cover is at your own risk. However if you choose to run the clutch without the cover, Horstman has a Clutch Guard designed for this purpose. The part number is 400400.
