EGT (Exhaust Gas Temperature) is the temperature at which the exhaust exits the exhaust manifold. Edge studies show, that safe max EGT is approximately 1350 degrees. On all Edge Products, we recommend a pyrometer & boost gauge. The thermocouple that monitors EGT is recommended to be installed into the exhaust manifold, for the most accurate readings.
