Are the vibes lucky at Ballys Las Vegas?
Great vibes… love the freaky blue walkway. The casino reminds us of Atlantic City a bit. Since Bally’s is connected directly to Paris, expect to see both Ballys and Paris chips on the tables and lots of Parisians. The center of the casino is all $1 slots – nickels are by the Keno pit (hang a right when you enter from the strip). Harrah’s has made many adjustments to the joint since they took it over. New carpets were installed in 2006, a poker room (we use that term loosely) was shoehorned into a square where a mondo bank of slots used to be. Good action, standard strip fare… nothing too fancy, but the table minimums jump to $15-25 on weekends. Head over to O’Shea’s if you want cheaper action. Ballys does have a bank of Blazing 7 dollar slot machines that have been quite profitiable for the VT Posse. Their ‘poker room’ is a nook on the casino floor that they took slots out of… meh.
