There is no such thing as a “broken heart”. If your heart was broken you would be dead. It is really your emotional psyche that has been damaged. The emotional thoughts from an ending romance/marriage are so powerful and overwhelming to us it seems like our heart is aching or broken, but in time our thoughts go from sadness back to its natural state and we have gotten over our “broken heart”.
