It’s easy to get philosophical and emotive about this question, but to me, friendship is just showing a genuine and unconditional interest in someone else’s life, no matter who they are. So often, we are too preoccupied and concerned with how people interpret our actions that we lose sight of how important and how cherished our interest can be to others who might be quite lonely.
