Odysseus was the protagonist of the Epic Poem “The Odyssey,” making him the hero of an epic or an epic hero. Just as Achilles was the protagonist of the Epic Poem “The Iliad.” The Trojan horse is in neither. Virgil, not Homer, brings the Trojan horse and its building to the fore in the Aeneid.
