Hi, I live in Canada, just purchased an engagement diamond and sorry to tell you but they are not cheaper. I bought a diamond that was mined in the Northwest Territories, it is absolutely beautiful. The Canadian diamonds can be more expensive due to the rugged mining conditions up north.
