Best PBS Kids Tv Shows: Great Educational Programming for Kids as Well as Parents Growing up PBS was all about Sesame Street and Mr. Rogers. I was delightfully surprised when I started watching PBS with my son a few months ago to learn there is a all new line up of what is sure to become his favorite shows. These are highly educational, entertaining, and just plain fun to watch. Here are a few of our favorites. Cailou- Cailou is a 4 year old little boy. He is growing up and discovering the world around him. This cartoon also features a few puppets shown at the beginning of the show to help guide us into what we will be learning that day as well as transitioning into the next segment of the show. Cailou has a delightful assortment of friends and family. This is a great show to watch as Cailou learns and discovers realistic everyday things such as fear of a new babysitter, going on a airplance ride, and making new friends.
