What can Diabetics Eat?

As a Diabetic myself, with an A1c of 5.7, anything you can find on this site is good. What you do have to watch out for is “simple” carbohydrates” because they will spike your sugar level and drop quickly. Eat only “complex” carbohydrates. True “whole grain” products are also very good, although they are not as low in calories as some of the other low carb foods, but they will not impact your sugar. If you go by the Glycemic Index, keep within the foods with a low index. People tend to get confused between the Glycemic Index and low carb. The Glycemic Index simply spells out what foods have a high or low carb count.
