What does EDP actually stand for?
What characterizes a data processing label? An EDP label is a pressure sensitive label mounted on a continuous carrier (liner). The liner is marginally punched with line holes left and right for feeding through a printer. Most commonly produced in fan folded flat packs, this product may also be produced on rolls. What can be done to help data processing labels fold properly? Placing a weaker perforation at the fold than what is used internally will often help product stack up more smoothly coming out of the printer. Also, using a heavier liner or more stable liner may help the product to refold coming off of your printer. Are all EDP labels processed through impact printers? Not necessarily. A number of continuous feed laser printers have been introduced to the market in recent years.
