Who was Vesta of the Roman gods?
Vesta is just another name of Hestia, Greek goddess of the Hearth and home. Hestia was a protector figure who dwelled in the hearths of all families. Hestia represents the safety of one’s home and the protection afforded by family. Hestia was a virgin goddess, and also an important protector of women. She was also probably the most generous goddess on Olympus– when the Greek god of wine, Dionysus, ascended to Olympus, Hestia gave up her throne to him willingly. Hestia was the daughter of Rhea and Kronos, both of whom were first-generation titans. Her siblings were Hera, Demeter, Zeus, Poseidon and Hades.
