How does iroquois tribe respect animals?
I don’t really remember learning about specific procedures for dealing with animals when we learned about the Iroquois Confederacy, but I do know that they almost wiped out the Beaver population at various points, which led to some major conflicts with other groups. AuroraDawn: While that is a very popular and nice thing to believe, it’s not historically accurate. The Iroquois came very close to causing the extinction of certain kinds of Beaver during the Beaver wars, in an attempt to gain control of the fur trade. It would also be more accurate to call the Iroquois henotheists than animists.
