“Embeddable” in this context means that the installation of the database engine can be contained in the application installation so that end users don’t need to know that a database has been installed. An Installation Toolkit is available to allow developers to customize the Pervasive PSQL installation and programmatically embed it into the installation of another application. “Embeddable” also means that the database engine can run almost indefinitely without any administration needed.
