What is a good bookcase stereo system?

I decided that since my stereo system is now in a landfill in Staten Island I need to get a new one and I’m going to buy one for myself as a Birthday present. I’m not that good at picking out good electronics so I need advice. Mind you, I live in a studio with neighbors on all sides so I’m not looking for the HUGE SOUND, just good sound. And I don’t want to go over $150.
