Whatis a fine needle aspiration?
A fine needle aspiration (FNA) is a type of biopsy. For it, a doctor uses a very thin needle to take a small sample of tissue from the tumor. This is not always the best way to get cells to check for Hodgkin’s disease. The needle is so thin that it sometimes cannot take enough tissue for the pathologist to see cancerous cells. That means that the doctor may need to use another way to take a biopsy.
