What were James Cooks boats names?
One, the first one after he was commissioned to the admiralty was named the HMS Bark Endeavour. It sailed from Plymouth, England on 26 August 1768. Two others were the Adventurer and the Discovery. Two more, the Drake and the Raleigh were used on later voyages. The names of these ships were changed by the advice of the Earl of Sandwich to the Resolution and the Adventure.
