Can India rise from dumps?
By Abhijit Chatterjee Tribune News Service CHANDIGARH, Feb 18 Will Indian cricket be able to rise from the dumps it had fallen into during the tour of Australia, where they were whitewashed in the three-match Test series and mauled in the three-nation one-day series involving Australia and Pakistan as they prepare to take on South Africa, who arrived in Mumbai yesterday. Not only were the Indians defeated 3-0 in the Test series without giving a semblance of a fight to the Australians, they were able to win just one game (out of 10) in the one-day tournament. Nobody minds losing but the fact which hurt the Indian fans the most is the Indian players were totally outplayed in match after match and nobody, not even skipper Sachin Tendulkar himself, could do anything to stem the rot. The South Africans are scheduled to play two Test matches at Mumbai and Bangalore (March 2 to 6), as also five one-day internationals at Kochi (March 9), Jamshedpur (March 12), Faridabad (March 15), Baroda (Mar
