What is the Masters Cup?
During the last couple of seasons there has emerged two separate groups of competitors racing in the category. One is the group of young drivers using the category as a stepping stone to V8 Supercars and beyond and the other is a strong group of dedicated racers just taking advantage of the thrilling racing action with a more laid back and casual attitude. A unique part of the Aussie Racing Car category is the establishment of a division within the series which caters for those that still have a strong competitive urge but see enjoyment in the sport as their major goal. The criteria for inclusion into the Masters Cup is that the driver must be over 35 years of age or be driving a Classic Ford and Classic Holden bodied car. Each Masters Cup car has a special identification logo above the competition number.
