Whats known about the Alcatel modems?
The Alcatel Speed Touch series come in several forms. The most common in Australia are the Home and the Pro, and more recently the Speed Touch 530 & 510. There are also some smatterings of the Speed Touch USB series known as the Stingray. The older Speed Touch Homes & Pros are almost identical to look at, the difference between them is the Homes need a software Login client on a PC or a Router to make a connection, whereas the Pro, like the new Speed Touch 530 & 510, is a Router with a built-in ADSL modem. More information about these modems can be found in my Router Review section & the Speed Touch Pro has it’s own page for configuration issues.
