What speech topics are the best?
I’ve been on my school’s speech team for three years. Personally, it depends on the occassion. If it’s a persuasive speech (a speech where you choose a topic and give an opinion, then try to win people over to your side): If it’s for a class, and your teacher is a democrat: global warming. (I know that this sounds slightly… close-minded, but unfortunately, I’ve found it to be true.) If it’s for a class, and your teacher is a republican or you’re not sure: healthy eating. (It’s something that everyone can relate to and be affected by.) If it’s for an assembly, or you’re supposed to speak to your fellow students: anorexia. (It’s a major problem among high schoolers and middle schoolers, and something pretty much everyone will have had some time of experience pertaining to.) If it’s an informative speech (a speech where you talk about a topic or thing, giving no opinion and remaining totally non-partisan, and drawing no conclusions): If you’re giving the speech to your classmates: Choco
