Kydex is an extremely durable PVC/Acrylic combination. Kydex is available in a wide range of thickness, patterns, colors, and textures. This material has very good impact resistance. Kydex also very scratch resistant. Kydex is also more resistant to a wide range of chemicals than any other holster medium. Some benefits of Kydex are that it does not retain moisture, and will not lose shape over time. Kydex also does not allow dirt & grit to embed into the surface which can cause accelerated wear of gun finish; if it does get dirty is is washable.
