A ‘hit’ is a visit to a website. If you (e.g.) receive 10 hits, it means that your sites have been visited 10 times. When you assign credits to your sites, you will get one hit for one credit. That means, that if you assign 1000 credits to one of your sites, it will get 1000 hits (= 1000 visits).
