Why do people love fish soups so much?
People don’t give a damn. They don’t bother to do any research before purchasing fish, and when those fish die they blame the store. They set themselves up for failure. It’s an unfortunate truth that not everyone cares as much as we do about animals and their proper care. It is common sense to me that people should research the needs of an animal to determine whether or not they are prepared for the responsibility, but how many people actually do this? I’ve had customers basically accuse me of lying when I tell them how to properly care for their fish. They look shocked when I tell them that they can’t add anymore fish to their aquarium because it is overstocked. I have no problem refusing a sale. If I tell a customer that the fish will die because their tank is overstocked/not cycled/would be incompatible with current fish, and they say something along the lines of “well it’s cheap and if it dies, it dies”, they walk out empty handed.
