Did all hippies do drugs?
Some hippies were Quakers, who were very opposed to the war but who were also enamored of sobriety. A very small number of hippies were socialists who thought that partying was a complete waste of time. (These are the people who believed that everything was political and that you should demonstrate or organize 24 hours a day.) Most hippies were much more fun-loving than this (okay, you can call them hedonists, but this is hardly the worst thing a person can be).
