Pearls Before Swine was made since Stephan Pastis, the author, didn’t like his job as a lawyer, and always wanted to be a cartoonist. Since he had the potential to do so, he became a comic strip artist and made Pearls Before Swine (his passion and goal as a child), and gave up being a boring lawyer. Making the comic strip was more fun for Stephan Pastis than being a lawyer, so the strip was born.
